Angela and Warren got engaged on May 8th, 2010.  It was Angela’s 25th birthday and on this gorgeous but windy Saturday, Warren had plans to celebrate her birthday by taking her on a surprise hot air balloon ride during the sunset. What he couldn’t predict were the 50 mile an hour winds that would have taken the hot air balloon all the way down to Florida had they actually let them ride!  So… backup Plan B then went into effect.  Warren took Angela on a romantic picnic at a nearby park, after that they drove to Longwood Gardens. The couple was enjoying the beautiful gardens and fountains when all of the sudden Warren got down on one knee and popped the big question! Following the proposal and a romantic dinner at a local BYOB, Angela got the surprise of her life when she walked into their house to find 50 of their friends and family there to help them celebrate their engagement until the early morning hours.

Angela and Warren’s ceremony took place at the Media Presbyterian Church in Media, PA.  Angela reflects that it was important for them to get married in a church and they both felt very comfortable with Media Presbyterian Church.  They also became members of the church in the process.

After their first kiss as husband and wife, Warren and Angela thought that was the end of the ceremony.  They turned around, threw their hands in the air as if to say “we did it!!” and started walking down the aisle.  Little did they know that was NOT the end of the ceremony and they were called back by the pastor after their little spectacle. “At least we gave everyone a good laugh!” Angela recalls.

To follow, the reception was held at The Cescaphe Ballroom located at 2nd and Poplar Streets in Philadelphia.  After checking 9 different venues for their dream wedding location, they were blown away by the Cescaphe.  An old movie theater that was converted into a ballroom a few years ago, the Cescaphe was exactly what they were looking for.  Their entrance was one of their favorite parts of the night.  When they were introduced as husband and wife sparklers went off and lit up the entire room!

The color scheme was purple with gold accents.  The girls dresses were one shoulder dark purple dresses and the flowers were bright purples and pinks to really pop against the dress.  The ballroom however had no purple in it.  Instead it was covered in a more elegant style with ivory tablecloths, ivory flowers and gold chivalry chairs.  The first time Angela saw the ballroom, she cried.  She recalls, “It was exactly what I wanted!”
To capture the most important night of their lives, Angel and Warren chose Helen Stevenson Photography. “We chose Helen Stevenson because, not only is she personable and so fun to work with, but she is genuinely passionate about her career.  She loves photography and it shows.  She captured some amazing moments at our wedding that we can relive forever thanks to her pictures.”

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Bittner went on a 17 day excursion through the country of Thailand.  They visited the gorgeous beaches of Koh-Samui and Phuket, the Chaing Mai city and jungle where they went elephant trekking through the jungle and finished the honeymoon in Bangkok.  Their wedding was truly out of a story book and a night they will never forget!
