It’s lunchtime and naturally I am hungry. So it only makes sense that I would want to talk about the tasting B and I had at our venue over Christmas. B and I both invited our moms which made it such a nice experience. I love food, but I wouldn’t say I have a refined palate; I am convinced my mom thought the same about me. I’m pretty sure she wanted to be there in case we picked awful appetizers. But really how can you go wrong with appetizers. Those are my favorite part of any wedding.
In advance we picked out 6 appetizers, 2 salads, 4 entrees, and were pleasantly surprised with a desert course. We had more or less made up our minds on most of the apps and the two entrees, but wanted to try a few other options. I was going to keep the entrée choice a secret, but in 2 months everyone will get an invitation asking you to pick crab cakes or filet, so it’s no surprise. And trust me, you cannot go wrong with either! The number of times I have eaten a steak I can count on my hand, okay hands. So I wasn’t overly concerned if I would like it or not. But, when B gave me a bite of the filet off of his plate, it was one of the greatest things ever. I asked for a second bite even.
B
always tells his clients he wanted to get married in May or September and anywhere but a country club. The next line is usually “And Chrissy chose June at a Country Club.” I know it’s his sense of humor, but I really think he isn’t super excited about the country club part. That is until the 4th course arrived. Rita brought out a tray of ice cream – B’s favorite food – and amongst the 5 flavors was Heath Bar ice cream. Coincidentally his favorite candy bar.
And that’s when I knew he was sold on the Aronimink!
