The Elkins Art Gallery

The Mercer Museum is known for its impressive architecture and rich history. The oldest parts of the museum include the Elkins Gallery and the soaring, concrete castle, which was built in 1913. The Elkins Art Gallery serves as the “dining room” of the museum, featuring a baby grand piano, two fireplaces, and hardwood floors. This elegant space is perfect for an intimate Bucks County wedding or event.

Dr. Henry Chapman Mercer, a historian and archaeologist, built the museum to showcase over 30,000 artifacts of early American life. The towering central atrium continues to awe visitors and is a spectacular feature of the venue.

The Garden Patio Tent, included in your venue rental, provides a beautiful outdoor space for cocktails at your Bucks County wedding. The white garden tent can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests for dinner. For a more intimate gathering, the air-conditioned Elkins Gallery can hold up to 80 guests for a seated dinner and dancing. Combined, the Mercer Museum’s indoor and outdoor spaces can host up to 150 guests for a seated dinner with dancing.

The museum’s village setting, expansive lawn, and museum grounds offer a variety of outdoor spaces for your wedding ceremony, unique photo opportunities, or quiet moments away from the crowd.
